Once a quarantine station and prison in the 19th century, today it is famous for its giant Aldabra tortoises, some over 100 years old. You’ll explore the island, learn its history, and enjoy close-up encounters with these gentle giants.
Afterwards, we head to the breathtaking Nakupenda Sandbank, a natural paradise of soft white sand surrounded by crystal-clear waters. Here, you can swim, snorkel, sunbathe, and relax while our crew prepares a delicious seafood barbecue lunch served right on the beach.
